Speaker Biography

Prior to ShopBack Malaysia, Alvinraj Singh Gill (Alvin Gill) was with investment banking industry and ZALORA Malaysia upon completion of his Masters at London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom.

During his tenure with ZALORA Malaysia, Alvin joined the Business Intelligence team, and later on led the Buying Division as the Head of Buying and Associate Director at the global fashion conglomerate. He streamlined and solved multiple operational challenges, trained the team and together contributed 140% (2013 VS 2014) revenue growth towards the business, for the categories he controlled.

Thereafter, he flew back to UK for ZEAL Network, a publicly-listed online lottery company with revenues in excess of EUR100M per annum. His responsibilities as the Chief of Staff to the CEO included supporting the development of a charity lottery product in collaboration with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Norway.

Now helming ShopBack Malaysia, Alvin works closely with the Malaysia as well as regional teams to set the next phase of business objectives and ensure strong executions of plans towards moonshot goals. He also keeps the team in Malaysia focused on the mission of propagating ShopBack as the smarter way to shop and live.

 Michal Golebiewski, Microsoft Malaysia’s Chief Marketing & Operations Officer (CM&OO) is responsible for leading the entire span of the marketing and operations functions of the subsidiary in line with the company’s vision of reinventing productivity in a mobile-first, cloud-first world.

This is an area that he is well acquainted with, after having led various divisions within the marketing and operations team over the last 21 years in Microsoft Poland and Romania. This includes leading the Server and Tools Business, the Customer and Partner Experience, as well as the Business Planning Operations function in Microsoft Poland, in addition to championing the CM&OO in Microsoft Romania – his last role prior to joining the Malaysian subsidiary.

Golebiewski plays a key leadership role in Microsoft Malaysia in directing and managing the overall business and marketing strategy as well as execution locally, overseeing product marketing groups, marketing communications, compete, business operations, enterprise marketing, public relations as well as customer and partner experience efforts. His main priority is to drive Digital Transformation awareness in Malaysia and evangelize technology impact on business for every organization.

Having held this current position for almost two years since 2015, Golebiewski brings wealth of knowledge and experience in the areas of marketing and operations ensuring greater productivity within a Cloud-driven era in Malaysia. Upholding Microsoft’s Digital Transformation vision in Malaysia, he has participated in many speaking engagements and media relations initiatives alongside with key digital drivers such as the Malaysian Development Economy Corporation (MDEC) amongst others to create a cloud first, mobile first nation.

Recently, Golebiewski has shared his views on how Malaysian businesses are embracing digital transformation in news stories - and has also lent his opinions on artificial intelligence’s increasing presence in the workplace to Malaysia’s leading newspaper, The Star -

Golebiewski graduated with a degree in Electronics from Warsaw Technical University, and enjoys swimming, and reading books in his spare time.
